Accelerate Political Advisors was founded by veteran Democratic fundraiser and strategist Josh Handelman. With over sixteen years of experience ranging from front-page US Senate campaigns to critical state house elections, Josh provides fundraising services, strategic guidance, and general consulting to campaigns and organizations.

From 2017 to 2023, Josh served as the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee's Vice President of Development. Over that time, the DLCC’s budget grew by over 200%, with the committee spending over $50 million per election cycle to power state house wins nationwide.

Prior to the DLCC, Josh directed the fundraising efforts of high-profile, heavily contested US Senate campaigns, working with US Senator Brian Schatz, US Senator Mazie Hirono, and Pennsylvania Democratic US Senate nominee Katie McGinty.

Josh started his career with the US Senate campaigns of Congressman Tom Allen of Maine and Congressman Paul Hodes of New Hampshire after graduating from Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
